The GCC began in January 2006 with the purpose of strengthening the overall care of the membership of the churches of the denomination by concentrating on the equipping, support, and encouragement of leadership in pastoral care and by assisting in the development of care in churches and in presbyteries.

Current Ministry:
The GCC is involved in theological education at Grace Theological College, in on-site care visitation, and in local seminars and workshops.   MTW project missionaries, Steve and Rita Williams, are particularly involved with “The Truth Project” as a ministry of assisting the local Christian community in gaining a more solid foundation in the truth claims of the Christian faith.  The Williams are also involved in local church ministry in Auckland as well as being involved in short-term ministry opportunities throughout the South Pacific islands.

Future MinistryThe GCC is in the process of establishing an interdenominational ministry to youth and young adults in their general knowledge of and preparation for marriage and family life.

The Grace Care Community (GCC) operates as a sub-committee of the Northern Presbytery of the Grace Presbyterian Church of New Zealand (GPCNZ).
