June 16: Part 2 video of Jean Paul in Haiti.

June 11:
The dedication of the church as well as the children's home and school is scheduled for June 27, and MTW will be there to celebrate. We will join our ministry partners Reformation Hope, Pastor John Paul, and  Reformation D'Espoir D'Haiti Church in the worship service of dedication, which will include a parade of thanksgiving and praise that will flow through the community to the church. The joy of that day will be captured on video, and we'll have it right here.

June 8: The most recent MTW medical team returned from Haiti. They were able to work in several locations, including the Diquini camp and at Reformation D'Espoir D'Haiti Church in La Plaine.  Pastor Esaie Etienne, whose home has been made livable again, hosted the team. They were grateful for his hospitality.

June 7: View the video on this page to see an interview with Pastor Paul as he tells the God story of how his ministry began. Watch for Part 2 of the interview, coming soon. Notifications will appear on MTW's Facebook page.

March 30: MTW's second assessment team arrived at the Reformation D'Espoir D'Haiti Church site in La Plaine and were amazed to hear the strong harmonies of worship music and the noise of reconstruction already underway by church members.

Help Haiti: Moving Forward

Long-term plans for ministry in Haiti have solidified in recent weeks, and ongoing work and recruitment is intensifying. MTW is partnering with MedAir in the construction of transitional housing. We are also partnering with Reformation Hope and Pastor Jean Jacob Paul, whose church (Reformation D'Espoir D'Haiti Church), children's home, and school were heavily damaged in the earthquake. Pastor Paul's church is 2,000 strong, has a school for orphans and abandoned children and an established network of local pastors for whom he is
developing a training program. Adding a partnership with this ministry to Pastor Esaie's well established work in Gonaives will provide an effective base for long-term ministry. And, consistent with MTW's values, it will enable us to work in such a way that the church gets the credit, God gets the glory, and the kingdom grows.

Beginning in early July, MTW will begin sending teams to build housing in the Les Plaines community where the church is located, and we have committed to hiring a Haitian worker for every MTW short-term worker. In addition to construction, we expect to continue providing medical care and counseling, including in the Gonaives area as well. Interested in going? Click here.
