Naas, Ireland

The present minister was installed in 2000 as minister of Naas and Athy. Numbers attending the services have nearly always been small and remain so: between 20 and 30 adults from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Nigeria, Brazil, Poland, South Africa and elsewhere gather for worship on Sundays. Around 12 children are in the Sunday school. The church building is located on the main street in the centre of the town..

Current Ministry: Service of worship on Sundays with Sunday school for children and crčche for infants; fellowship group which meets on two Sunday evenings every month; church bookstall on Fridays mornings to meet people; various social events like family picnics and barbeques, men’s night out, ladies’ night out, international evenings; periodically an evangelistic Bible study; and for the past five years, we’re run a club for children in the summer with help from a church in Northern Ireland.

Future Ministry: Naas is growing rapidly, but most of our members live outside the town. This means our members are strangers to the townspeople. Therefore we need to implement ways of meeting and befriending the townspeople in order ultimately to share the gospel with them. There are opportunities among the many foreign nationals, but our desire is to reach local Irish people
